Anna Maria Chlumsky was born in the US. Her acting career began in her early years and became recognized as Vada Schultenfuss from My Girl 2 and My Girl. Following her initial roles in the film, she paused from 1999-2005 to study at university. Anna Chlumsky is a Chicago Illinois native born to Nancy Chlumsky Sr. as well as Frank Chlumsky Jr. on 3 December 1980. Her mother previously worked in the field of Flight Attendant.
